hello type twice here in todays video ill be showing you how to insert an image into a shape in a dope illustrator so without further ado lets get right into it the first thing we want to do is to create our shape that we want to insert an image off so first go over to the toolbar you have in the left side of your screen as you can see right here and find the shape tool right here and lets just select a shape you can get these different shapes by right clicking on this shape icon right here and you can see all of the different options in this case lets create a ellipse tool so just press on this the keyboard shortcut for that is l lets just create a circle so hold down shift and alt and just just scale this up as you can see right here and let go lets just give this color so we can see it a little better just like this now were actually ready to insert the image into the shape so from here you want to press on the shape and go down to this named draw inside the keyboard shortcu

Images can be imported as separate objects or directly inside a certain object. To import an image as a separate object, tap the menu button from the Titlebar, and then tap the Import Photo command. The image will be added on your canvas inside a shape that fits its dimensions.
