Adding a retention label to a document understanding model allows you to enforce retention policies on files identified in a SharePoint document library. For instance, an insurance notices model can have a retention label that prevents deletion of identified files for five months. To apply a retention label, go to the model homepage, access the settings, and select the retention label menu. Choose your desired label and save. Ensure that retention labels are created and published in the Microsoft 365 security and compliance center for availability. After applying the label, you can use the updated model in a new library.
