if you need drawings for a patent for file a patent or provisional patent application what I do when I provide the service is Ill make a 3d model and the advantage of making a 3d model is that you could actually have this part made not only will you get the drawings for the part the drawings will look something like this that they would be cut and pasted into a into a Word document and then convert it to PDF to be read by the USPTO theyd have annotations and all the annotations that be as per the standard method of annotating drawings or patents and you would be able to use the all the parts I give you the solid part files as well as the I Jes and step and any other STL file for making a 3d model so when you order that thats what I will give you and you will get high quality drawings that render perfectly so if you want to order those drawings let me know and I will do them for you I use SolidWorks to do that which is a very expensive program that writes that makes parts thank you

Got questions?

Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Drawings or Black and White Photographs The drawing disclosure is the most important element of the application. Every design patent application must include either a drawing or a black and white photograph of the claimed design.
Generally, you trademark an image by applying to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and getting your application approved for registration. Trademarking with the USPTO is a legal process that usually takes about 12 months. So, the sooner you start trademarking your image the better.
The answer is YES! if a petition is granted explaining why the color drawings or photographs are necessary for illustrating the claimed invention. Under 35 U.S.C. 113, the Applicant for a patent must furnish a drawing where necessary for the understanding of the subject matter to be patented.
The drawings in a design patent application may be submitted in black and white or in color. See 37 CFR 1.84(a). Photographs, including photocopies of photographs, are not ordinarily permitted in a design patent application by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Patent information Patents are published as part of the terms of granting the patent to the inventor. Subject to limited exceptions reflected in 37 CFR 1.71(d) (e) and 1.84(s), the text and drawings of a patent are typically not subject to copyright restrictions.
Amendments to Claims You can change the claims of a patent without filing a new application unless you are making a new claim. If you are making a new claim, you will need to file a new patent application. Federal regulations governing the USPTO provide specific rules for amending patent claims.
However, it is acceptable to use photographs in PVAs and we frequently include marked up drawings as a stand in for formally prepared patent drawings. However, when the provisional patent application is converted to a regular utility patent application, formal drawings must be submitted.
