Without a text messaging platform, text messages are not delivered to landline phone numbers. Incoming text messages are lost into the void, as they cannot be delivered to a standard landline phone. Physical landline phones have no way to receive and display the text messages.
The recipient will not know someone tried docHubing them as their phone is not text-enabled. If the landline is text-enabled, the service provider will call the recipient landline and deliver the message as an audio recording or via email to ensure message delivery.
Add a new contact from a group conversation Open the Messages app . Select a group conversation with the number you want to add as a contact. Tap More. Details. Tap the number you want to add. Add contact.
The only way to determine if a number is a landline is to send a message first. The first message that goes out to a landline will be automatically tracked by our platform and the contact will be labelled invalid and skipped on future messaging.
Go to Settings Messages. Toggle iMessage to OFF and then back to ON. Once iMessage has been activated, scroll to Send Receive to check if the right mobile number is ticked.
You can send a text message to a landline the same way youd send a message to a mobile number. From the text messaging screen of your mobile device, enter the recipients 10-digit phone number in the To field, as you would with a regular text message.
