The contact section should be at the top of your resume and include your first and last name, address, email address and phone number. If you dont feel comfortable putting your home address, list your city and state.
Contact Details Use your own personal email address or create a new account specifically for your job search, especially if your current email address is something like foxybabe@webaddress.com. Be sure to put your mobile phone number on your CV.
Write your number in the correct format The best approach to writing a phone number on your resume may differ depending on the country. To ensure clarity and avoid any potential dialing errors by recruiters, it is advisable to break down the number into smaller, easily readable segments.
Ideally, after your name, youll use no more than one additional line of your CV to provide your personal information. This might be possible if you provide only your phone number, email address and location. Youll definitely need to use a second line if youre including your LinkedIn URL and/or online portfolio URL.
There is no need to include a work, home, and mobile number on your resume as this can cause confusion when an employer is trying to contact you. Only include one number, either a mobile or work number.
Make sure youve listed your email and phone number in the contact section of your resume so employers can readily contact you and request any additional information that is necessary for their hiring processes.
Your phone number should be placed near the top of your resume, usually in the header. This makes it easy for recruiters and hiring managers to quickly locate and get in touch with you. If you have a professional email address, include that as well.
The most common way to write your phone number on a resume is by using parentheses around the area code and adding a dash after the first three digits of your phone number.
