if you want to set password to your quiz you can also do that by clicking the save sre extract your things on attempts you can set the required password here and then just click save and display and your students will have to fill in the password before doing the quiz

D2L keeps a log of every students activity in a quiz. Whenever a student enters a quiz, saves an answer, changes pages, and so forth, an entry is made into that students individual. Click the Quizzes tab in the course navbar. Click the caret to open the quizs Action menu.
Using short text validation Basically, in order to add password protection to a Google form you have to add a password form field and add a regex to the field validation matching the password.
