By default, the Work notes field can be updated only by users with the itil role, whereas the Additional comments field can be updated by any users.
Incident Notes enable you to add important notes for you and your team that can help mitigate an incident faster. You can use this to: Collaborate with your team and resolve the incident. Use it to store important pointers that will help with the mitigation.
Enable the display of incident special handling notes Navigate to Incident All. Open any incident record. Click the Additional actions icon. and select Configure Form Layout. From the Available list, select Special Handling Notes Pop Up and move it to the Selected list. Click Save.
