To add a signature to a PDF on macOS using the built-in Preview app, first open the PDF and click on the show marker toolbar icon. Then select the signature icon to create and save your signature using your laptop's trackpad, built-in webcam, or an iPhone or iPad. Use your finger to sign your name on the trackpad, or press more firmly on a Force Touch trackpad for a thicker stroke. Once signed, click done to create the signature.
