First, open up the folder you want to create the list from, and select all of the files and folders you want to include. Once all of the relevant files and folders are selected, copy the list by either selecting Edit then Copy Items in the menu or the Command-C keyboard shortcut.

Create a list automatically In your document, place the insertion point where you want the list to begin. Type a dash, a bullet (Option-8), or a letter or number followed by a period and a space (such as 1. or A. Type the first item in your list, then press Return.
View all files in a folder The ls command lists all the files that are stored inside the folder. The R command expands out subdirectories and lists the files contained within them.
