Tire pressure, the vehicle lights, engine compartment, brakes, chassis, fuel tanks, and trailer connections are some of the items youll want to check. Check exhaust unit for leaks. Check the fuel tank area, making sure there are no leaks. Inspect all windows and mirrors, ensuring theyre secured and free of damage.
Penlights and inspection lights shine a small, focused light beam onto specific areas or into tight spaces where flashlights would be too large or overpowering. Also known as flashlight pens, these slim lights slip into a pocket to stay within docHub as needed.
Fluorescent, quartz halogen, and LED are the most widely used lighting types in machine vision, particularly for small- to medium-scale inspection stations. Metal halide, xenon, and high-pressure sodium are more typically used in large-scale applications or in areas requiring a very bright source.
Most commonly, UV inspection lighting should have wavelengths between 3200-3800 angstroms. Within this range, organic oils and hydrocarbons will readily fluoresce. Proper UV intensity is just as important as the right wavelength.
Inspection Details: Checking all safety systems. Checking all interior lights. Checking all exterior lights. Checking windscreen washer system and toping up fluid level if necessary. Checking all Tyres for tread depth, patter of wear, overall condition and inflation pressure.
Green wavelengths are easiest for the human eye to see and adding green lights into the inspection area helps maximize the effectiveness of metal, glass, and plastic inspections.
An inspection light appears on the speedometer of a car when there is some problem with the car such as a leak in the brake oil , a problem with the engine belt, a micro processor chip not functioning well or to sum it up when the car requires system maintenance and service.
Proper Lighting is Key When setting up inspection stations, light intensity standards should be followed, usually measured in units like lumens, lux, or foot-candles. For example, direct white light inspections often require a minimum of 100 foot-candles of brightness on the inspection surface.
