Add a border or rule to paragraphs Click in the paragraph or select the text where you want to add a border or rule. In the Format sidebar on the right, click the Layout button near the top. Select the Borders Rules checkbox, then click the pop-up menu below it and choose a line type (solid, dashed, or dotted).

Add lines and arrows in Pages on iPad Tap in the toolbar, then tap . In the Basic category, tap a straight or curved line to add it to the page. To edit the lines shape or position, do any of the following: Move the line: Drag the line to where you want it. To modify the lines appearance, tap.
Change the table outline and gridlines Tap the table, then tap . Tap Table, then do any of the following: Show the outline: Turn on Table Outline. Change the gridlines: Tap Grid Options, then tap to turn gridlines on or off. If you dont see these options, swipe up from the bottom of the controls.
Creating Grids in Pages Click to add a Grid Unit, which will create a new Grid consisting of two columns: Click the Plus Icon to add a new Unit to a particular column: Using the Grid settings, enter your chosen Gutter Width. Youre done - hit Save changes and get sharing!
Set the gridline type: Click the disclosure arrow next to Major Gridlines or Minor Gridlines (in the Value tab), or Gridlines (in the Category tab), then click the pop-up menu and choose a solid, dashed, or dotted line.
Mac Right-click an empty part of the desktop and select Show View Options. If your mouse has only one button, hold down the Control key while clicking the desktop. Activate the drop-down menu next to Arrange By, and then select Snap to Grid from the list.
Tap Style, tap Gridlines, then do any of the following: Set the axis line type: Tap Line Type, then select a solid, dashed, or dotted line type. If youre working with a radar chart, you can also tap Radial Lines (below Category) and select a line type. Set the axis line color: Tap the color well, then choose a color.
