All right, thanks guys. Thanks for joining in for another user group this little round. Were going to get through two accounts and formulas. Thanks for filling that poll as well. Majority are somewhat comfortable, which is great. Hopefully we can tick over to very comfortable after this session, maybe or some that arent comfortable or have never even tried get a bit of an exposure to creating their own accounts and definitely in some formula writing as well. So thats what this session will be about. Let me just close this poll. Cool. So what Ill start off with, I guess, is just by explaining that the ability to create accounts and define formulas, its quite various, a lot of different options we have available to us, a lot of different flexibilities, and they all sort of suit a particular purpose, a particular method that were trying to calculate a particular account. Updated Equations for Ideal Weight Weight in pounds = 5 x BMI + (BMI divided by 5) x (Height in inches minus 60) Weight in kilograms = 2.2 x BMI + (3.5 x BMI) x (Height in meters minus 1.5)
Adjusted body weight has been proposed as one method to improve the accuracy of predictive equations when calculating calorie expenditure of obese patients.
To determine body weight in pounds, the desired BMI is multiplied by 5 and then add BMI/5 lb for each inch 5 ft in height. For instance, for a BMI of 20, start with 100 lb for a height of 5 ft and add 4 lb for each additional inch of height. For a BMI of 25, start with 125 lb and add 5 lb for each inch of height.
To find the adjusted body weight: Adjusted body weight = IBW + 0.4 * (ABW - IBW)
ABW = IBW + 0.4 (actual weight - IBW) The IBW and ABW are used to calculate medication dosages when the patient is obese.
Lean body weight is calculated based on an individuals height and weight, whereas ideal body weight is based only on height. Medication dosing based on total body weight runs the risk of overdose, whereas dosing based on lean body weight can run the risk of underdosing.

✔️What should be the ideal weight for a 5 feet female in kg? The ideal weight for a 5 feet female in kg would be 40.8 49.9 kg.
How is the Adjusted Body Weight (ABW) calculated? Ideal Body Weight (Male): 50 kg + 2.3 kg per every inch over 5 feet. Ideal Body Weight (Female): 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg per every inch over 5 feet. The formula to calculate the Adjusted Body Weight is: Adjusted Body Weight: IBW + (0.4 (weight in kg - IBW))
For patients under 5 feet, one commonly-used modification is to subtract 2-5 lbs for each inch below 60 inches (written communication with leading expert Dr. Manjunath Pai, 2018). There are multiple ideal body weight formulas that have been developed; they all have different caveats and problems.
