Type Your Equation Upon selecting Equation, a designated bar will appear within your document. Here, you can type in your mathematical equation using a combination of symbols, numbers, and mathematical operators.
You can insert mathematical equations into your documents.
To show formulas in a Google Sheets spreadsheet, select View Show formulas. All of the formulas in the spreadsheet will be displayed at once in the formulas view. You can go back to seeing values by unselecting Show formulas from the View menu.
When you begin to type =SUM into an empty cell, Google Sheets will automatically display the SUM function =SUM(value1,value2). The comma here tells Sheets to add these values together. Values can be specific cells, numbers, or ranges. To add two cells, your two values will be the cells you want to total.
