If a subset of a font is embedded, this means that only the characters used in that particular document are embedded. This is acceptable for a thesis or dissertation, because these documents will not be edited in their pdf form.
In the Properties panel, select Details and have a look at the value of the Font embeddability property. The value should be Installable or Editable. If the font is installed on your PC, click on the Windows menu icon, type Control Panel and select Fonts. Find the appropriate font family and double-click it.
Embed fonts in Word or PowerPoint Click the File tab and then click Options (its near the bottom left corner of the window). In the left column, select the Save tab. At the bottom, under Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation, select the Embed fonts in the file check box. Click OK.
The simplest way is to add fonts is via fontaddgoogle() . Find the font you like on Google Fonts and add it to R using the following. Amatic SC can now be used by changing the font family to amatic-sc. For R to know how to properly render the text we first need to run showtextauto() prior to displaying the plot.
First launche the SAPscript Font Maintenance SAP Tcode SE73. Check Font Families and click TrueType Font.Launch the Upload with these parameters: Font Attribute BOLD unchecked. Font Attribute ITALIC ? checked. Do Not Replace Other Fonts Checked.
You can use report RSTXPDF2UC to view all the true type fonts that are installed for the Unicode PDF conversion and which Unicode character ranges they are used for.
Go to the menu in RStudio and click on Tools and then Global Options. Select the Appearance tab on the left. Again buried in the middle of things is the font size. Change this to 14 or 16 to start with and see what it looks like.
Requirements Import fonts into the extrafont database. (Needs to be done once) Register the fonts from the extrafont database with Rs PDF (or PostScript) output device. (Needs to be done once per R session) Create the graphics that use the fonts. Embed the fonts into the PDF file. (Needs to be done for each file)
To embed the fonts that are not already embedded, go to File Print. Bring up the docHub PDF settings and properties, then docHub PDF settings. Embed your font. Edit the default settings and navigate to Font, click the Embed all fonts option.
