It is great starting point or introduction to records management. So what is a record? The definition is broader than you might imagine. Simply put, a record is information created or received by an institution that documents the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of the institution. A record can take many different forms, and can be either physical or digital. These forms include but are not limited to: Paper documents and publications Photographs, slides, contact sheets, and negatives Audio and audiovisual recordings Drawings, sketches, and portraits Maps, floorplans, and blueprints Textiles, including medical uniforms and other institutional clothing Artifacts, such as medical equipment and tools developed by Duke And finally electronic file

It is generally advised that you record voices without effects during the recording stage. While it might be tempting to add reverb or other effects to enhance your sound (especially if youre the performer), its best to keep the recording clean and dry.
Start a new project by uploading your videos and images that you want to edit. Use the simple, drag and drop editor to move clips around and arrange on the timeline. Then, try out the special effects options including special filters, animations, chroma key, speed up and slowing down a video.

To record automation follow these steps: Press the Automation Arm button. Press the Arm Recording button on the track where your NI plug-in is loaded and start recording by pressing the Record button in the transport section. Move the parameter you want to automate in your NI plug-ins window. Stop the recording.
Now that your video/image/sound effect is on the timeline, you can easily add an effect to it. To do that, click on the Effects tab, then use the search bar to find an effect suitable for your current project needs.
