[Music] hey everybody and welcome to another learn to digitized video my name is sue and I am from oml embroidery and oml digitizing and today we are talking about the fundamentals of applique so theres been a lot of questions on the Facebook page about applique and how its done and I think a lot of people are making it too complicated for what they need to do so what exactly is applique applique is where you add fabric and its a really fantastic way of doing things but you add fabric instead of stitches but theres two rules I think with applique one is keep it simple and the other one is just because you can add fabric doesnt mean that you should so when I say keep it simple most and the best applique designs are simple designs with one applique not five or six or ten I mean you can do that if you have a huge like fullback design you can add more pieces and it really is a lovely effect but were talking four by four or five by seven hoop generally one or two not many more than t
