In VBA, there is a function called date that we can use to insert or get the current date as per the system. So here Im going to insert the current date in the cell A1. So first of all Im going to specify the cell A1 and then Im going to assign the value that coming from function date. So when youre using this date function, you dont need to specify any argument, you simply need to use the word, the keyword Date. Thats it. So now when I run this code it gives me the current date as per my system and it inserts it into the cell A1. And in the same way, if you want to get the current date and current time, you can use this function called NOW. And this function also doesnt need any argument to be specified by you. Insert a Dynamic Date On a worksheet, select the cell into which you want to insert the current date. To insert today's date as a dynamic date, enter the following into an empty cell and tap Enter: =TODAY()
Using the Formulas Tab Select the cell in which you want the current date to appear. Click the Formulas tab, then click Date & Time on the Ribbon. Select TODAY from the drop-down menu. Click OK in the Function Arguments dialog box and the current date now appears in the cell, in the default date format.
Click the Data tab. In the Insert Formula dialog box, click Insert Function. In the Categories list in the Insert Function dialog box, click Date and Time. In the Functions list, click today, and then click OK twice to return to the Date Picker Properties dialog box.
Do one of the following: To insert the date, type the date (like 2/2), and then click Home > Number Format dropdown (in the Number tab) >Short Date or Long Date. To insert the time, type the time, and then click Home > Number Format dropdown (in the Number tab) >Time.

Insert a date that updates automatically On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Date & Time. In the Date and time dialog box, select the format you want. Select the Update automatically check box. The date is inserted as a field and will update automatically.

Select the text box. Go to the formulas tab. Write “=” and the cell address to which you want to link the cell, then press Enter. Now when the value in the cell changes the text box will dynamically change.
You will need to change the number format (Format Cells) in order to display a proper date. For example: =DATE(C2,A2,B2) combines the year from cell C2, the month from cell A2, and the day from cell B2 and puts them into one cell as a date.
Create a list of sequential dates Select the cell that contains the first date. Drag the fill handle across the adjacent cells that you want to fill with sequential dates. Select the fill handle. at the lower-right corner of the cell, hold down, and drag to fill the rest of the series.
