Does a bill of sale have to be docHubd in Nebraska? Yes. Both the buyer and the seller need to sign the bill of sale in the presence of a notary.
Once the vehicle has been inspected, you must mail the completed Form 551, original bill of sale, and a completed title application to the Missouri Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicle Bureau, P.O. Box 2076, Jefferson City, MO 65105.
A bill of sale is required to register a vehicle in Missouri, and the seller also needs to fill out a Notice of Sale (Form 5049).
The Seller must also provide the buyer with a Bill of Sale or a completed Nebraska Department of Revenue Form 6 Nebraska Sales/Use Tax and Tire Fee Statement for Motor Vehicle And Trailer Sales. (NOTE: Nebraska Department of Revenue Form 6 is not available for download from the Department of Motor Vehicles website.
A purchase agreement is a legal document that is signed by both the buyer and the seller. Once it is signed by both parties, it is a legally binding contract.
Remember: All sellers and purchasers must print their names and sign the back of the title in the assignment area. These signatures do not need to be docHubd. The seller must write in the odometer reading and date of sale. You may not use correction fluid (white-out) or erase marks from the title.
