Contact us
An incident is an error or flaw due to which services cannot be rendered properly. Incident management provides a quick fix or a permanent solution to the issues raised. A service request is raised when the user needs something new or replaced.
Create an external data source In the Action bar, select + New Add Data Source. In the Choose a Data Source dialog, in Application, select Freshservice. In the New Data Source dialog, specify the applicable connector properties for the selected API version. To test, select Test Connection.
Click on Import in the product catalog. Upload the CSV file with the products to be imported and click Next. Map the fields from the CSV to the fields in your Freshservice account and click Import. Wait for the records to get created. If your import is successful, the products are added to the product catalog.
Service request - A formal user request for something new to be provided. Example: I need a new Macbook. Incident - An unplanned event that disrupts or reduces the quality of a service and requires an emergency response. Example: The website is down!
Service Catalog Navigate to Admin. Under the Service Management section, go to the Service Request Management sub-section, and click on the Service Catalog option. Click on the required Service Item. Select the Custom Fields tab to add a new field to the Service Item.

Creating a Service Request (SR) Log in to your service now instance with valid credentials. From the Self Service module, navigate to Self Service Service Catalog. Select an item from the service catalog. Choose sub-category of an item, if required. Select Quantity (count of items) required and click Order Now.
Navigate to Admin. Under the Service Management section, go to the Service Request Management sub-section, and click on the Service Catalog option. Click on the required Service Item. Select the Custom Fields tab to add a new field to the Service Item.
