hi Im Anna Denton Jones and in this video Im going to be explaining a little bit about segments agreements from the employees perspective and what my role is when Im looking at them for somebody now a settlement agreement can be entered into in any circumstance that somebody is leaving their employer so they obviously cover a whole range of things and this advice is obviously going to be quite generic and youre going to need to take specific advice on your own circumstances so they can be used where the employees resign they can be used where the employer is given notice to the employee they can be used in circumstances where there is no notice yet served and the partys effectively choose a termination date when the employment will come to an end the reason why the employer wants a settlement agreement is to have a real line in the sand they want to know that theres no comeback from an employees they want to know that once theyve signed the document once theyve paid the employ
