Adjusted gross income appears on IRS Form 1040, line 11. To report expected income on your Marketplace health insurance application, you can start with your most recent years adjusted gross income and update it based on income and household changes you expect for the coverage year.
Taxpayers must remit any required quarterly estimated payments by the applicable due dates. Estimated tax payments are generally due on April 15, June 15, September 15 of the tax year and January 15 of the following year.
Locate the Payment Options box on the Revenue Online(opens in new window) homepage. Click Make a Payment. Read the information about the various service fees and processing timelines before selecting a payment option. Select either Debit or Credit Card or E-Check.
2) Pay via E-Check by sending tax payments from your bank account to Colorado Department of Revenue. 3) Pay via credit or debit card through Colorado Revenue Online and choose the Debit or Credit Card and choose Estimated Payment as your payment type).
Sign in to make a Tax Deposit Payment or Schedule Estimated Payments with the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) Enrollment required to use this option. Make payments from your bank account.
Paying your estimated tax electronically is the fastest method. However, you can pay by mail or in person using an estimated tax payment voucher. If you do not already have a voucher, create one using the 500-ES Individual and Fiduciary Estimated Tax Payment Voucher form.
If you do not file your income tax return or make your payment on time, the Colorado DOR will assess a penalty of 5.5% of the tax due each month or partial month, up to a total of 12%. If you owe less than $100, your penalty is $5 per month. For example, if you owe $1,000, the penalty for the first month will be $55.
