You can quickly add a progress line to your project by using the mouse. On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Tracking. Click Add Progress Line, and then click the area of the Gantt Chart where you want to draw the progress line.

This will go through all active tasks (visible on screen), add up duration in days multiplied by progress, and divide it by the sum of durations in days for all tasks.
Under the Axis label range, select the axis values from the original data; Select Percentage of current completion option if you want to create the progress bar chart based on the percentage values; Then, select the percentage values from the data range.
