Hello and thanks for watching WPBeginner. With this video youll learn how to add special characters in WordPress posts. Special characters are the ones that show for like trademark, copyright, registered and items like that. You dont see keys for these on your keyboard so how do you add them to your site? Well from the admin area of our site, we can go to a new post or page to get started. Im going to add a new post and with my visual editor, I want to make sure i have two rows of icons by clicking on the kitchen sink button here. And now you see the omega sign. This will open up a window for special characters. I just need to find the one I want and click the button and that adds the character to my post immediately. If you are working in the text editor side for your post, then youll need to add the html entity number assigned to it. some examples are this: copy; = copyright this code: trade; = trade you can find the whole list of them at the w3.org site just look for the char
