Got questions?

Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

When USCIS rejects your case, it sends a notice via mail, which will tell you the reason why. It will also return your filing fee. Once you know why it rejected your case, you can prepare your corrections. If you fix your mistakes and refile your application, you can get back on track.
Online: Use the case status online tool to check for updates about your immigration case. You will need your 13-character receipt number from your application or petition. By phone: If you are calling from the U.S., contact the USCIS National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 or TTY 1-800-767-1833.
When should I expect to receive a decision on an appeal to the AAO? A. The AAO strives to complete its appellate review within 180 days from the time it receives a complete case file after the initial field review. Some cases may take longer than 180 days due to factors beyond the AAOs control.
The I290B (MTR or Appeal) is a very long process, which may take up to 2 years. The chances of getting Approval is very slim. You must have substantial evidence to file an MTR. Your Attorney must present an extreme case; if theUSCIS denied the H1B in error, you have a high chance.
A denial is when USCIS fully evaluates your case, and basically determines that you do not qualify for the immigration benefit that youre applying for. A rejection is much different than a denial. When USCIS rejects a case, they do not review the case to determine whether or not you qualify.
USCIS will send you an official notice explaining why it denied your application. But it will not return your fees, and you wont receive an employment-based green card or lawful permanent resident status.
For most appeals, appellants must file an appeal on Form I-290B within 30 calendar days after personal service of the decision, or 33 calendar days if the decision was mailed. An appellant must file an appeal of a USCIS decision to revoke the approval of an immigrant petition upon notice under 8 C.F.R.
If an unfavorable decision is made (your case is denied and/or you are ordered removed), you will receive a notice explaining why the decision in your case was unfavorable. This notice will also explain if you can file an appeal.
