hey everyone its John here and in todays video were gonna take a look at how to create this key performance indicator data card in Excel so this is a great visual for dashboards when you want to show a single value so value that your audience thats looking at your dashboard is going to be very interested in so in our case our KPI is total orders so were interested in the sum of all orders for 2016 and weve got that value displayed prominently in this data card here now this data card also has a title so we can tell that its our total orders and then behind the value we also have a nice little line graph that shows both 2015 and 2016 sales and then we also have a percent difference indicator so we can tell how much our total orders have changed from 2015 to 2016 now this data card is dynamic and its actually linked to this slicer that I have here for our products so if I select different product groups so here maybe I want to select yellow road bikes and my data cards gonna upd
