Inserting pictures in Writer In Writer there are several ways to insert pictures, either using the menu Insert Picture From file, with the corresponding button on the Insert toolbar or simply by dragging and dropping the picture file from the systems file browser.

Open the Watermark gallery, and click Custom Watermark. Then, click Picture watermark and select Picture. Choose a picture file and click Insert. Click Apply.
To Use Anchor as Character Choose Insert Picture From File and find the file (or just drag the picture in from the Gallery). Right-click on the picture and choose Anchor As Character. If you want to continue writing below the picture, click to the right of the picture and press Return .
Right-click the illustration that you want to save as a separate image file, and then click Save as Picture. In the Save as type list, select the file format that you want. In the File name box, type a new name for the picture, or just accept the suggested file name. Select the folder where you want to store the image.
