An executive summary provides an overview of the main points of a larger report. It is often written to share with individuals who may not have time to review the entire report. The reader should be able to make a decision based only on reading the executive summary.
Your executive summary should include: The name, location, and mission of your company. A description of your company, including management, advisors, and brief history. Your product or service, where your product fits in the market, and how your product differs from competitors in the industry.
Unsubstantiated claims do not position you as anything except lacking credibility, which in turn positions you as untrustworthy. Making the Executive Summary your story instead of theirs. The customer does not care about your story. They care a little more about how it impacts them.
