Step 1: Open the PDF you want to edit on Preview. Go to the toolbox button in the main toolbar. Here you will find the Markup toolbar for your work. Step 2: Now, click on the Shapes icon where you will get common shapes like lines, arrows, rectangles, circles, hexagons, etcetera.
To insert arrows in PDF documents, upload your PDF documents to , or choose the PDF youd like to annotate in My Forms page and click Fill button on the right. You can find the Arrow button in Tools tab. Click and hold the button on the mouse to draw an arrow around. Release the mouse when youre done.
Another option is to choose the Sketch tool (the thinner of the two squiggly pen lines) pen and then simply draw an arrow. Preview will recognize the shape and convert it into an arrow, which you can then modify as needed. You can also press Control + Command + A just as you did earlier.
Add a vector arrow with the Custom Shape tool. Click it: Click the Shapes tool from the toolbox. Choose it: Select the Foreground color box and choose the color you want your arrow to be. Customize it: Find the Custom Shape tool at the top of the window and click it. Size it: Point it: Add it:
In the Preview app on your Mac, click the Show Markup Toolbar button (if the Markup toolbar isnt showing). Use the tools in the toolbar to mark up the image (or use the Touch Bar). Use any of the following shape tools to select an area in an image and then crop, copy, or delete: Rectangular Selection.
Make an Arrow on Mac To open the Character Viewer, go to Edit Emoji Symbols in the menu bar or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Control + Space. When the Character Viewer opens, select Arrows on the left.

Open the file in Preview by default, or control-click the file and choose Preview. Click Show Markup Toolbar. Click the Draw icon.
