using Microsoft forms for a quiz allows you add a correct answer not just for multiple-choice questions but also for free response so notes Im going to add a new question Im going to choose text and it gives me the option to add answers now let me give you a caution you need to think of all the ways a student might answer that question now as a math teacher it might seem obvious that they would put five but sometimes to put 5.0 or dollar sign five or FIV eat and if I know students are prone to misspell something Ill add that as a correct answer to just so I can make sure I exhaust the entire list of all the ways the student might respond so that Microsoft forms will market correct

Create an answer key Fill out your question and answers. In the bottom left of the question, click Answer key. Choose the answer or answers that are correct. In the top right of the question, choose how many points the question is worth.
This method allows you to see what each student answered for each question. While looking at student responses, you will want to grade the open response questions. Google Forms automatically marks these incorrect. Choose the question you want to send feedback for and click Add individual Feedback.
Set rules for your form Open a form in Google Forms. Add one of the following types of questions: Short answer. Paragraph. Checkboxes. Click More . Click Response validation. Choose the type of rule you want. At the far right, type an error message that people will see when they enter an answer that breaks your rules.
If you want you can click Add answer feedback to provide messages the student will get if they answer correctly or incorrectly.
Send results by email Open a quiz and click Responses. Click Summary or Individual. Click Release score(s). (Optional) Enter a message. Check the All respondents box, or check the boxes next to who you want to email. Click Send Emails and Release.
There are three ways to view answers: The Summary tab. The summary tab allows you to see (you guessed it!) the summary of all of your Google Forms responses. The Question tab. The questions section will show you all the responses to a given question. The Individual tab.
To view the responses, you will click the Responses tab beside the Questions tab. The number shows you how many responses you have received for that Google Form assignment. When you click Responses you have two main options to view your students scores and/or responses.
You can also set the amount of points the question is worth. If you want you can click Add answer feedback to provide messages the student will get if they answer correctly or incorrectly.
