To insert field codes into a Word document, you can do so directly by typing them in or by inserting an empty field code and then adding the desired code within curly brackets. You can update the code to see the result. Alternatively, you can use the Insert tab, select Explore Quick Parts, choose Field, and then select the desired field code to add to the document. For example, you can insert a date or time field code using these methods.
