Lets look at some examples of how to use Address Line 2 correctly. Sally Sunshine is shopping online for scrapbooking supplies. She lives in the Miami Plaza apartment building on 1500 NE Miami Place in Apartment 202. Her full address is 1500 NE Miami Pl Apt 202, Miami, FL 33132.
Address line 1: Write your house number, street name, and apartment/flat number, if any. You may alternately write just the house number and street name here, and apartment/flat number in address line 2.
This is the second line, if needed, of an address, typically a building name or post office box number. Post office box numbers should be used only in mailing addresses.
Address Line 1 is typically used for the street address of the recipient. In contrast, Address Line 2 is used for additional address information such as an apartment or suite number, building name, floor number, P.O. Box number, or any other relevant details that could help identify the location.
Address Line 2 should include secondary unit designators, like apartment numbers, suite numbers, room numbers, or floor numbers.
For example, Apt 304 or Unit B. Building Names or Floor Numbers: If your address includes a building name or you are located on a specific floor within a building, provide that information in Address Line 2. For instance, Smith Building, 4th Floor or Sunrise Tower, Suite 1201.
Optional Information/Attention (ATTN) (Address Line 2) Use this line to direct mail to a specific person within the office or organization identified in the recipient line. If the letter is sensitive or personal information for the recipients eyes only, add PERSONAL FOR MS JANE DOE on this line.
Address line 1: This line is typically used for the street address, including the house number and street name. Address line 2: This line is typically used for the apartment number, suite number, or building name. Address line 3: This line is typically used for the city, state, and ZIP code.
