Hey! Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast. Im Bill Jelen. Today, we have a question was asked by Rod. Rods from Cincinnati. He was at the power analyst boot camp in Chicago, last week. Thought it was a pretty interesting question and it actually took us a little bit of time to get it working properly. So, I want to go through, whats up there. He basically had a series of different workbooks for different departments. In my example, I just have Apple, Banana, Cherry, Eggplant, Grapes and Kale and on the summary page. He wanted to be able to selectively grab numbers from a certain worksheet, based on a value that the person chose. So, he set up a little data validation here with a list and they could choose one of the departments and when they chose that department he wanted the formulas to go grab values from that certain worksheet. Well, the solution to this is something called indirect. The indirect function and basically an indirect instead of putting a specific cell function. You

The exceptional address format (“Jane Doe or Current Resident” or “Jane Doe or Current Occupant”) may be used on any mail except mail types listed in 3.1. 2. The word “Current” is optional. The order of the words may be reversed (e.g., “Current Resident or Jane Doe” rather than “Jane Doe or Current Resident”).
Use a clear and easy to read hand writing (or font if you are printing the address). Use a pen or ink that is clear against the colour of the envelope or parcel. Left align the text (no centred or 'stepped' lines). No commas or full stops.
When you print “Or Current Resident” on your postcards, your message will always be delivered to the addresses you specify, even if the residents you're trying to reach have moved to a new home.
While most of the address stays the same, you'll now add the apartment number at the end of the street line. So your address would now look like this: Recipient's Name. Building Number | Street Number/Name | Apartment Number. City Name, State Abbreviation | Zip Code.
If you want to address an envelope in colored ink, you can certainly do that. However, it's best to go with regular colors like red, black, and blue. It's best to avoid using colors that are hard to read.
You can set up USPS informed delivery for multiple addresses as well. There's the option to have one primary address and a secondary PO Box address linked in the same account.
Writing the letter recipient's address on the envelope will follow the same format as the return address. On the first line, address the recipient by name using the proper titles. On the second line, write the recipient's street address and the final line will include the recipient's city, state and zip code.
How is mail with two (2) addresses handled? The intended delivery address should always be placed on the line immediately above the city, state, and ZIP Code™ line. If necessary, the additional address should be placed on a line above the intended delivery address line.
Note: You will be able to make no more than 2 (two) changes in a single day*, one of which can be street address line related. After two changes, you will receive an error message that says: "You have exceeded the amount of changes that you can make within the same day.
Is Mail Always Delivered as Addressed and Can it be Refused / Returned? The United States Postal Service® will deliver the mail as addressed, but it does not have to be accepted. Without a specific reason to the contrary, mail sent to an address will be delivered.
