For purposes of this document a shared account is an account that is used by multiple individuals to access systems or data. A service account is an account that is used by an automated process and is not used in an interactive way by a user.
A functional ID is a generic account used for an IT asset. Specific to Scrutinizer, functional IDs are User IDs providing access to different areas and access levels within Scrutinizer. The following functional IDs are included by default with the installation of Scrutinizer.
Application Accounts are accounts used by applications to access databases, run batch jobs or scripts or provide access to other applications. These privileged accounts usually have broad access to underlying company information that resides in applications and databases.
Go to Resources in the left panel, and then select Rooms & equipment. If these options aren't available in the left panel, you may need to select Show all first. Select Add resource to create a new resource account. Enter a display name and email address for the account and then select Save.

Functional Accounts While logged into the user interface, navigate to Administration > User Management- Functional Accounts. Click Once in the Functional Accounts area click the Add a Functional Account. Enter the Name. Enter the Email address.
You can convert one or more End/Silent User accounts to Functional Accounts. Navigate to Administration > User Management. Find the user(s) account you wish to convert. Click the checkbox to the left of each account to convert. Click on the button at the top Mass Update Users.
