Select a row or a range of rows. On the Home tab, select Format Row Width (or Row Height). Type the row width and select OK.
However, you can change the default font and font size for all new workbooks that you create. On the Excel menu, click Preferences. Under Authoring, click General. In the Default font and Font size boxes, select a new font and font size. Click OK. Close and restart Excel.
Select the text that you want to change. (circled in green in the screenshot below), and then click the Advanced tab. Select the Kerning for fonts check box, and then enter the point size in the Points and above box.
Go to the Alignment tab of the Format Cells dialog box. Shrink to fit is directly below Wrap text. Enabling Shrink to fit will automatically reduce the font size in a cell so that the text fits without wrapping.
Select the cells that you want to format. On the Home tab, click Wrap Text. Text inside the cell wraps to fit the column width. When you change the column width, text wrapping adjusts automatically.
Select all of the text in the text box, right-click it, and click Paragraph. Select the line spacing you want. Tip: You can also tighten the text by reducing the font size.
Select the text that you want to change. On the Home tab, click the Font Dialog Box Launcher, and then click the Advanced tab. In the Spacing box, click Expanded or Condensed, and then specify how much space you want in the By box.
Press Alt+Left/Right Arrow (Windows) or Option+Left/Right Arrow (Mac OS) to decrease or increase the kerning between two characters.
