[Music] foreign [Music] hey dawn freaks welcome to the mix machine studio uh youre watching tone quest and um today i want to discuss how you can good i mean how you can get uh a good sound from empire in studio one okay lets do it first of all um ive already made a guitar track here thats very easy to do and my setup is just my trusty fender telecaster thin line plugged in straight into my interface which is an army 800 um no fancy schmancy just went in into the instrument input okay okay first of all before you record your guitar you have to check your signal if you are registering a good signal to your daw so uh lets turn this off first and uh lets see if im getting good signal [Music] maybe a bit more juice there you go all right so yeah i think im hitting um how many dbs here nine maybe lets just uh there i think im hitting a good sweet spot of around 12 db negative 12 db okay its very important that you get a good signal coming in thats not too weak and thats not too
