Without witnessing the apparent plane crash, Alice might never have made such a breakthrough. This would mean that she would not have been able to become free of the Victory Project had she not seen the plane. For this reason, the plane in Dont Worry Darling can be seen as a symbol of Alices escape.
Relationship Drama Caused Problems Another Dont Worry Darling controversy was the nature and timing of Wildes relationship with Styles. Wildes split with long-time fianc and Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis was rumored to be a result of Wilde falling for Styles while on the set of Dont Worry Darling.
Throughout Dont Worry Darling, Alice has visions of women dancing, of herself drowning, of Margaret trying to shatter glass that only intensify as the film goes on. At the start, Alice is perfectly content living her life, going through the same monotony every day.
However, Alice begins to have hallucinations that she and only one friend can see. These hallucinations begin because the women are starting to realize that the seemingly perfect way of life that surrounds them is a simulation.
The Dont Worry Darling ending is fairly powerful as Alice goes to the Victory Headquarters, sees Jack in her mind, and with her hand on the window, Franks employees come close to her. Alice escapes into the real world and when the screen goes black, audiences hear Alice breathing, safe and sound.
Alice encounters plenty of oddities as her Victory Project reality starts to crack. These unsettling moments are deemed hallucinations, though they arent really explained in Dont Worry Darlings ending, and dont seem to stem from any source in particular.
Confronted by Alice, Jack confesses the truth: Victory is a simulated world created by Frank, where he and the other men lead their version of perfect lives; the women they have forced into the simulation are unaware that their lives in Victory, and their children, are artificial.
The twist, explained: After Alice repeatedly questions whats going on in Victory and why nothing is real, including the eggs she cracks that have nothing inside its revealed that the Victory Project is a simulation, sort of like a highly-evolved virtual reality.
