in this video im going to show you how to insert a table from google sheets into google docs and what im going to show is how to paste a linked table that you have the ability to update if the data in your original spreadsheet updates so if you watched my last video on how to insert a table from google sheets into google slides the process is going to be very similar so what i have here is i have my table with data and then i have a blank google doc file opened up you dont need to have a blank file you can do it in a pre-existing file if you already have something filled out and you want to insert it in a certain spot but i have my table here and what im going to do is first highlight it and then im going to copy it so you can either right click and select copy or you can press ctrl and c on your keyboard to copy so after youve copied it you go back to google docs and you find where you want to paste it and to paste it you can either right click and select paste or ctrl and v on

Edit data in a cell Open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app. In your spreadsheet, double-tap the cell you want to edit. Enter your data. Optional: To format text, touch and hold the text, then choose an option. When done, tap Done .

Import data from another spreadsheet In Sheets, open a spreadsheet. In an empty cell, enter =IMPORTRANGE. In parenthesis, add the following specifications in quotation marks and separated by a comma*: The URL of the spreadsheet in Sheets. Press Enter. Click Allow access to connect the 2 spreadsheets.
The autosizing feature will allow you to set a columns width to fit its content automatically. Hover the mouse over the line between two columns. The cursor will turn into a double arrow. Double-click the mouse. The columns width will be changed to fit the content.
Click the Save As Doc add-on icon in the Google Workspace sidebar 2. Select the cells to include or choose Select all data 3. Enter a file output name.
Your Excel file wont be changed, even as you change the Sheets file. In Sheets, create a new or open an existing spreadsheet. Click File. Import. Choose the Excel file and click Select. Choose an import option: Create new spreadsheet. Insert new sheet(s) Replace spreadsheet. Click Import data. If prompted, click Open now.
AutoFit Column With Keyboard Shortcut There is not a dedicated keyboard shortcut for adjusting column width, but you can use the ALT key to do so if you prefer using the keyboard to the mouse. Click in the column you wish to size.
Select the column or columns that you want to change. On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format. Under Cell Size, click AutoFit Column Width. Note: To quickly autofit all columns on the worksheet, click the Select All button, and then double-click any boundary between two column headings.
