In the Voice Memos app on your Mac, select the recording. Click the Edit button in the upper-right corner to open the recording in the Edit window. If you have a trackpad or a Magic Mouse, click or tap with two fingers on the recording in the list, then choose Edit Recording.
Turn on tracking: Choose Edit Track Changes (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen). If the review toolbar is showing above your document, you can also click Track Changes in the toolbar. , then choose Turn Off Tracking.

Click the disclosure arrow next to Edit Movie or Edit Audio, then drag the Trim sliders.
