JPEG images can be printed using the mass storage mode. The Object Push Profile (OPP) or Basic Imaging Profile (BIP) is used for printing via a Bluetooth connection. This printer will convert a color JPEG image to a Black White image using a dithering process.
How to Enlarge an Image in Photoshop Open your image in Photoshop. Go to the Image Size dialog, check resample, and select Preserve Details in the corresponding dropdown menu. Make sure the Resolution is set to 300 Pixels/Inch. Set Width and Height to inches and adjust to enlarge your image.
When to use a TIFF file. A TIFF file is a great choice when high-quality is your goal, especially when it comes to printing photos or even billboards. TIFF is also an adaptable format that can support both lossy and lossless compression. This allows each page in a TIFF file to be compressed differently if desired.
TIFF files are docHubly larger than their JPEG counterparts, and can be either uncompressed or compressed using lossless compression. Unlike JPEG, TIFF files can have a bit depth of either 16-bits per channel or 8-bits per channel, and multiple layered images can be stored in a single TIFF file.
TIFF files are larger, but will not lose any quality or clarity when edited and saved repeatedly. JPEGs, on the other hand, will lose a small amount of quality and clarity each time they are saved.
TIF (TIFF) In contrast to JPG, image data is barely compressed, or any compression is lossless. However, the file size is correspondingly large, which means TIFF files cannot really be used on the web. They are more suited to print applications, especially when printing very detailed designs.
Make your TIFF images into JPGs. Choose File and select Save As. Or, choose File, then Export, and Save for Web (Legacy). You can use either process to save CMYK, RGB, or grayscale images. Note: JPGs support only 8-bit images, so the bit depth will automatically be lowered on anything with a 16-bit image quality.
If youre printing something smaller-scale -- think a small photo album or scrapbooking material -- JPEG will do just fine. If youre printing something large, however, where quality is important -- like an art piece or giclee art-- you should go with the TIFF format.
