this is going to be all about taking attendance in canvas with the attendance tool that is called roll call so some first notes uh attendance in canvas is also called roll call and thats because it is a lti tool its a plug-in or a third-party tool that just kind of comes with canvas um and not everyone will use it to take attendance necessarily you may have other ways of counting attendance such as creating assignments or whatever but this is just one option for more easily taking attendance in canvas but as well see um it it its very structured and there isnt necessarily as much flexibility as there was in moodle so you may or may not um end up using this tool so well see so uh that said it does make taking attendance much easier than having to set up individual assignments so hopefully you can you can get a better idea of your needs by the end of this workshop so another tip is to try set up try doing all of the setup before you start taking lots of attendance um this was true
