how to insert picture in an open office writer document theres two ways you can do this one is to go through insert select picture from file and then you select your the picture you want open there you go picture shows up tiny i will enlarge it that is one way another way is to simply click and drag directly into your document now you notice that theres a difference between those two pictures if i can put them side by side this one is sharp this one is pixelated thats because its enlarge larger than it actually is so it loses its definition if you have a picture like this you better get rid of it and find another one that sharper now you notice with this picture i have difficulty moving it around thats because its anchored as a character to change the anchor type you right click on the picture again go to anchor and select anchor to page and that would allow you to move it freely all around the page now you also notice that i move into the text it splits the text above and below
