How to Overlay Images. If you would like to create an image overlay effect, download PhotoDirector for free and follow these easy steps: Tap Edit and choose an image from your Photo Library or Stock Images. Scroll through the bottom menu and tap on Overlays.
Just follow these steps: From your Google Doc, select the Insert menu and choose Drawing. In the drawing click on the Insert Image icon and upload your image or choose one from other options. Once the image uploads, click on it to select it and you can now crop and edit the image.
Crop and adjust images On your computer, open a document or presentation. Click on the image you want to crop. Click Crop . Around the border, click and drag the blue squares into the shape you want. When you're done, press Enter on your keyboard or click anywhere else in your file.

You can easily put a photo on top of another photo using Fotor, a free online photo editor. Simply drag and drop the image you want to overlay into Fotor- this will become your background picture. Then add a new image over it. You can adjust the transparency levels to blend two images together perfectly.
