alright, what were going to talk about today is.. these things adapters but within the content of software development, this of course means the adapter design pattern. The thing is there is 4 patterns that are very much a like, so its difficult to tell which one is which and its kind of difficult to sort of figure out the new answers. Im the first one to agree that I have to consistently look them up to sort of keep them apart the four patterns can be easily confused are adapter pattern facade pattern proxy pattern and declarator pattern now, such a poor pen, let me fill this in in a previous video we already talked about the declarator pattern if you havent check that out already, be sure to check it out it is not at all mandatory to watch this video, but it might help we havent however talked about adapter facade and proxy so what were going to do is that were going to talk in this video about adapter pattern only in the next video well talk about facade only a

This pattern involves a single class which is responsible to join functionalities of independent or incompatible interfaces. A real life example could be a case of card reader which acts as an adapter between memory card and a laptop.
Intent. Provide a unified interface to a set of interfaces in a subsystem. Facade defines a higher-level interface that makes the subsystem easier to use.
If you do some research on the adapter pattern, you will find two different versions of it: The class adapter pattern that implements the adapter using inheritance. The object adapter pattern that uses composition to reference an instance of the wrapped class within the adapter.
A Facade Pattern says that just just provide a unified and simplified interface to a set of interfaces in a subsystem, therefore it hides the complexities of the subsystem from the client.
An Adapter pattern acts as a connector between two incompatible interfaces that otherwise cannot be connected directly. The main goal for this pattern is to convert an existing interface into another one the client expects.
The adapter pattern convert the interface of a class into another interface clients expect. Adapter lets classes work together that couldnt otherwise because of incompatible interfaces. The adapter pattern is a structural pattern. It converts the interface of a class into another interface the clients expect.
Design Patterns 1) Creational Pattern. Factory Method Pattern Abstract Factory Pattern Singleton Pattern Prototype Pattern Builder Pattern Object Pool Pattern. 2) Structural Pattern. Adapter Pattern Bridge Pattern Composite Pattern Decorator Pattern Facade Pattern Flyweight Pattern proxy Pattern. 3) Behavioral Pattern.
If you do some research on the adapter pattern, you will find two different versions of it: The class adapter pattern that implements the adapter using inheritance. The object adapter pattern that uses composition to reference an instance of the wrapped class within the adapter.
In software engineering, the adapter pattern is a software design pattern (also known as wrapper, an alternative naming shared with the decorator pattern) that allows the interface of an existing class to be used as another interface.
User interface (UI) design patterns are reusable/recurring components which designers use to solve common problems in user interface design. For example, the breadcrumbs design pattern lets users retrace their steps. Designers can apply them to a broad range of cases, but must adapt each to the specific context of use.
