first of all we need to enter into the BIOS power on the computer Press Del or the corresponding key immediately and enter the BIOS settings screen use the arrows in order to move the cursor and access the security option select password and then enter to open it navigate to the hard disk password section here you can remove the password simply input the current password leave the new password empty and confirm again the new password to be empty what we want to do next is to preserve the configuration so hit F10 in order to save the settings and reboot the computer now your hard drive password is no longer required that

If you have connected your Windows account to your Microsoft account, you can easily reset it online. Log on to Microsofts Reset your password page from an alternate computer. Click on I forgot my password, and then click on the Next button.
Steps: Restart the computer and press and hold the F8 key to enter the safe mode. Log in with the administrator account. Go to the control panel and find the user account to reset the password.
Deleting or changing an existing system setup password In the System BIOS or System Setup screen, select System Security and press Enter. In the System Security screen, verify that Password Status is Unlocked. Select System Password, alter or delete the existing system password and press Enter or Tab.
How do i change my laptop lock screen password? Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and then click Change a password. Type your old password followed by a new password as indicated, and then type the new password again to confirm it. Press Enter.

Unlocking a Dell laptop when youve forgotten the password is possible through several methods: Use Safe Mode to bypass login and reset your password. Create a password reset disk to unlock the laptop. Use software like PassFab 4WinKey to remove password. Reset your Microsoft account password if you use one to login.
Restart the Dell laptop and press the F12 key repeatedly to enter the one-time boot menu. Select the USB drive as the boot device to boot the Dell PC. When the Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery tool opens, under Recover Back Up Files, click Start Backup. Once the backup is done, click Start Reset under Recover Reset.
