Go to Home and select Line and Paragraph Spacing Line Spacing Options at the bottom of the menu. The Paragraph dialog box opens. On the Indents and Spacing tab, select the options you want, and click OK.
There are four types of paragraph alignment available in Microsoft Word left-aligned, center-aligned, rightaligned, and justified.

To set paragraph alignment On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, select the Align Left, Center, Align Right, or Justify button. Open the Paragraph dialog box. On the Indents and Spacing tab, in the General area, select Left, Centered, Right, or Justified in the Alignment list.
On the Home tab, click the Styles Dialog Box Launcher in the Styles group. At the bottom of the Styles dialog box, click Manage Styles. On the Set Defaults tab, change the Paragraph Position and Paragraph Spacing settings to the values that you want.
Position the cursor anywhere in the paragraph, or select all the paragraphs you want to adjust. Open the Paragraph dialog box. On the Indents and Spacing tab, in the Spacing area, make the adjustments you want to the paragraph spacing, and then click OK.
A paragraph in Word is any text that ends with a hard return. You insert a hard return anytime you press the Enter key. Paragraph formatting lets you control the appearance if individual paragraphs. For example, you can change the alignment of text from left to center or the spacing between lines form single to double.
