The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires chemical manufacturers, distributors, or importers to provide Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) (formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheets or MSDSs) to communicate the hazards of hazardous chemical products.
The SDS must accompany the first shipment of chemicals. Any updated SDS should be sent within three months of any new and docHub information regarding the given hazardous chemical. So, yes, safety data sheets do expire. The expiration depends on the discovery of new and docHub information.
To obtain SDS, get them from the manufacturer. They may be sent with the chemical order (paper copy or e-mail attachment). Otherwise, go to the manufacturers website and download it or request a copy.
Note: The requirement for suppliers to update a safety data sheet every three years, as was the case under WHMIS 1988 is no longer required by the Hazardous Products Act and regulations. Currently, the SDS must be accurate at the time of every sale or importation of the hazardous product.
Manufacturers and importers of hazardous chemicals must review and update the information in an SDS every 5 years. All SDS must list the date when it was last reviewed and updated. This date is usually written in Section 16 Any other relevant information, of the SDS.

In all circumstances where the employer prepares a work place SDS or an electronic version of the supplier SDS, the employer must update the SDS ing to the new information appearing on the supplier SDS and any docHub new data.
The MSDS lists the hazardous ingredients of a product, its physical and chemical characteristics (e.g. flammability, explosive properties), its effect on human health, the chemicals with which it can adversely react, handling precautions, the types of measures that can be used to control exposure, emergency and first
