[Music] Ive been here for a week and a half; its literally exceeded every single expectation that Ive ever had, like I was already pretty excited to come for the summer and then I got here and like it could not be going better. Ive been here before and so I have um friends here and so I just wanted to come back and improve those relationships and improve my Spanish and be able to live here for the summer. My personal goals are to just make connection with the kids and to have a good time and to really get to know these kids beyond just what you would get with like staying here for a week. You know other teaching jobs, you might be doing this for money or for some kind of game but this one is just purely to help out children that otherwise wouldnt- wouldnt receive these classes. I mean the creativity that children show in these classes I think is what will help benefit them for the rest of their lives. Im teaching sports class, its the best class obv

ing to consultants at The Camp Experts Teen Programs, children should be at least 7 years old before partaking in sessions of one week or more at overnight camp. However, this number is no golden rule, as there are many variations in maturity and preferences among children.
If your child is over 18 but still considered a kid, they may still be eligible for some camps. These so-called youth programs usually offer more diversified activities than a traditional summer camp and are geared towards kids aged 9-17. So, if your kiddo is up for it and has their ID ready theyre good to go!
There are tons of camps that are geared towards older kids and even teens. Looking for sleep away camps geared toward teens is a great first step. Campers still do safe, fun and exciting activities that are geared towards their age group while also developing independence.
Only send your six- to eight-year-old to camp if . . . Your child is a fairly independent kid (not clingy to you) and can take a shower on his/her own. If your child happily goes to school and is fine at day camps and other activities without you constantly by his/her side, then he/shes probably ready for camp.
Camp Amicus is a unique summer camp program designed specifically for children and youth with Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD. Our goal is to create a rewarding and successful summer camp for each young person.
The right age for sending kids to summer camp can vary depending on the childs developmental level, interests, and comfort level with being away from home. In general, most children are ready to attend a sleep-away camp or day camp between the ages of seven and ten.
