this is craig migliaccio from aec service tech and today what were going over is the installation of a air treatment system into the supply side of a duct so this is a furnace and air conditioning system and were going to be installing this step by step right into the supply and wiring it in theres two versions of this apco x right here this is made by fresh air uv and theres one thats a 24 volt model and another thats 120 or 240 volt model and so were going to be doing this full installation coming up [Music] i want to explain why were installing this into the supply side duct now a filter is installed in the return side of the duct and the job of the filter is to stop any particulates from traveling into the gas furnace heat exchanger and to the bottom of the evaporator coil where it can just get clogged up but the whole point of why were installing this is the uv light right here is going to kill any type of biological issues that may be growing on the coils such as mold an
