For Moving the position of ggplot2 legend at any side of the plot, we simply add the theme() function to geompoint() function. Parameter : In General, theme() function has many parameters to specify the theme of the plot but here we use only legend. position parameter which specify the position of Legend.
To reposition or remove the legend of your chart, you can click on Properties in the function bar and then click Show Legend. Here you have several options to choose from and you can change the legend as desired.
It is done using the legend() function. The main arguments are: legend : names to display. bty : type of box around the legend.
You can place the legend literally anywhere. To put it around the chart, use the legend. position option and specify top , right , bottom , or left . To put it inside the plot area, specify a vector of length 2, both values going between 0 and 1 and giving the x and y coordinates.
To draw a legend outside of a plot in R, you can use the legend() command to specify the position of the legend outside the plot. This command will create a legend with the labels and colors you have specified and place it outside the plot area.
Moving the Legend Around You can do this by passing the loc argument to the plt. legend() function. Each of these loc values is self-explanatory and places the legend in the respective position on the plot.
In order to place the legend outside of the plot, lets say at the center of the right side, we need to do two things. First, we need to shrink the width of the plot so that the legend fits the figure. Then, we can use the bboxtoanchor argument that offers a degree of control for manual legend placement.
