legend() in Python. The attribute Loc in legend() is used to specify the location of the legend. The default value of loc is loc= best (upper left). The strings upper left, upper right, lower left, and lower right place the legend at the corresponding corner of the axes/figure.
To change the order of items in a Matplotlib legend, use the plt. legend() function and specify the order in which the items appear in the keyword argument labels. This is a list of the labels in the order that you want them to appear in the legend.
1: Select the legend and from the Format tab of the ribbon choose Format Selection. 2: In the Format Legend dialogue box and under the Legend Position, choose Right. 3: Now in correct order, resize your chart legend to preference.
A command on the Change menu, Reverse Legend Order flips the front-to-back or left-to-right order of data sets on the graph. You can also change the order of data sets by dragging them on the page one by one.
You can do this using the bboxtoanchor argument. This argument takes a tuple of two or four numbers, which represent the coordinates for the legends new location. In this case, the first number in the tuple moves the legend along the x-axis, and the second number moves it along the y-axis.
Adding a legend Creating a manual legend, as opposed to dynamically as ggplot is supposed to work, can be quite hacky. First thing to know is that the color, linestyle, and/or shape must be in aes() to appear in the legend. If its not there you cant control it in the legend.
On a dashboard, you can right click the legend, select Arrange Items -- Reverse Order.
